Buying chains for a motorcycle can be confusing. So many brands and types (O ring, non O ring, X ring). They range from cheap to expensive. Is the big name brand better? Is it okay to buy an affordable chain? When I re geared my bike and changed the front and rear sprockets I also bought a new chain. Not wanting to pay more for the chain than I did for both sprockets I hit Ebay to see what I could find. I went with a Max motorsports chain and spent a little less than $32. There are definitely more expensive chains and believe it or not cheaper ones. Chain installed with no issues. I have now put about 1300 miles on this chain both on and off road. The chain shows no signs of premature wear or binding. I have cleaned and lubricated the chain once in those 1300 miles and it continues to work. So if you are a budget minded rider like myself you may want to consider this chain. Although I cannot be sure the chain does say it is for bikes up to 250cc so if you have a larger CC motor this may not be for you.
